Friends of Elysian
The Friends of Elysian Charter School is a 501C3 (IRS approved charity) organization with the mission of raising significant funds—mainly from sources outside the school—that will benefit Elysian Charter School of Hoboken. Monies raised are used for
- Facilities Maintenance
- Technology and upgrades
- School Trips, Athletics and Cultural Events
- Library Resources
- Arts and Sciences Resources
Donations are tax deductible and are accepted from individuals, corporations and foundations.
The “Friends” host several fundraising events each year including the annual appeal program and a mid-winter fundraising auction and dinner.
2012–2013 Event Dates
- Annual Appeal: December 15, 2012–May 1, 2013
- Annual Fundraising Dinner: Saturday, March 16, 2013,
7–11pm, Stevens Institute of Technology, Howe Center Bldg.
- Swing Fore Schools Golf Tournament: June 2013
Members of the Friends are appointed by the Elysian Charter School Board of Directors. Friends can be teachers, parents or Hoboken community members.
