Friends of Elysian
The Friends of Elysian Charter School is a 501C3 (IRS approved charity) organization with the mission of raising significant funds—mainly from sources outside the school—that will benefit Elysian Charter School of Hoboken. Monies raised are used for
- Facilities Maintenance
- Technology and upgrades
- School Trips, Athletics and Cultural Events
- Library Resources
- Arts and Sciences Resources
Donations are tax deductible and are accepted from individuals, corporations and foundations.
The “Friends” host several fundraising events each year including the annual appeal program and a mid-winter fundraising auction and dinner.
2011-2012 Event Dates
- New Family-Veteran Family Mixer: Saturday, October 1,
2011 (2–4PM), Court Street Restaurant, Hoboken, NJ
- Annual Appeal: November 1, 2011–March 10, 2012
- Annual Dinner Dance and Auction: Saturday, March 10, 2012,
7–11PM, The Westin Hotel, Jersey City (adults-only)
- Swing Fore Schools Golf Tournament: May 2012
Members of the Friends are appointed by the Elysian Charter School Board of Directors. Friends can be teachers, parents or Hoboken community members.
