PTSOThe Elysian Charter School Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) is made up of parent and teacher volunteers, and student representatives for the purpose of creating school wide events such as our annual Halloween Party, Kuumba Day Celebration, fundraising dinners and graduation ceremonies. All PTSO sponsored events are designed to enrich school life and encourage the participation of the school community as a whole.
Membership in the Elysian PTSO is open to all parents and teachers. Parents are invited to attend and participate in the monthly planning meetings, where child care is available and pizza served. Dates for all PTSO meetings are announced in the school newsletter.
Officers of the PTSO are elected each Spring for the following year. Student representatives are also elected (by the 5-8th graders) with one boy and one girl chosen from each grade.
