Welcoming Our New
Executive Director
With the planned retirement of our current School Director at the end of this academic year, Elysian Charter School launched a search for our next leader — someone who would build on Elysian’s strong academic foundation and vibrant community while guiding the school into its next chapter.
We are excited to announce that Shana Wright has been selected as Elysian Charter School’s next Executive Director, effective July 1, 2026.
Shana brings more than 25 years of experience in education and stood out throughout the search process for her collaborative leadership style, strong educational background, and deep alignment with Elysian’s mission and values.

The Friends of Elysian Charter School is a parent-led, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to raising funds to support the school. Since 1997, Friends has helped bridge the funding gap—Elysian receives 35% less per student than Hoboken district schools. Through events such as the Annual Party & Auction and the Annual Appeal, as well as smaller social gatherings, Friends provides essential funding to ensure educational excellence for all students.
